August 2026 – Candice’s Shenanigans
August flew by as we wrapped up summer. My friend Loli and I ran a half marathon in Steamboat. We got to hang with good friends and watch the Steamboat Rodeo, which I highly recommend! Then the kids and I went back to the Beehive in the Adirondacks. Narendra couldn’t make it this year, but I decided it was still worth the trip for some swimming and relaxation. It’s never enough time there. Kolton even got to sit in the cockpit on the way home. Back at home, we got to spend time with our Sioux Falls cousins, biked on Wild Hack at the peninsula with Weezy, ran along the trails in Breck with Chiara and Lola, and bike downhill at Vail with Jon and Jill. The kids started back at school in 1st and 3rd grades, and they’re loving riding the bus now… I’m not crying. Lastly, we got to celebrate Narendra and Johanna’s birthdays at the end of the month with good friends and a wild house of kids!
